The Ferrari 296 Challenge is the latest addition to the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, introducing a host of innovations designed to elevate performance in the celebrated one-make series. Derived from the road-going Ferrari 296 GTB, this race-ready machine is the first in the championship's history to feature a twin-turbo V6 engine.

The power unit, stripped of the hybrid system found in the road car, delivers an impressive 700 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. With a specific power output of 234 hp/l, the 296 Challenge sets a new benchmark for Ferrari cars adapted for racing.

Aerodynamics play a pivotal role in its design, with features such as the S-Duct, which directs airflow to the central radiator and exits through the bonnet, and the swan-neck rear wing, ensuring optimal downforce. Together, these innovations generate over 870 kg of aerodynamic load at 250 km/h, providing unparalleled stability and cornering performance.

The braking system is also a standout feature, debuting the new CCM-R PLUS discs, which are derived from top-tier motorsport applications. Alongside the refined ABS EVO Track system, the brakes guarantee unmatched consistency and control under extreme conditions.

Specially developed 19-inch Pirelli tires enhance grip and durability, ensuring peak performance throughout each race.

The 296 Challenge made its public debut at the 2023 Ferrari Finali Mondiali at Mugello, earning widespread acclaim. During the international press test at the Monteblanco circuit, journalists praised its remarkable agility, power delivery, and track dynamics, describing it as a seamless evolution of Ferrari’s racing philosophy.

With lap times over two seconds faster than its predecessor, the 488 Challenge Evo, the 296 Challenge delivers both approachability and exhilarating performance, reinforcing Ferrari’s commitment to excellence in motorsport.
